Over the years the internet has changed drastically, 20 years ago this was only offered on a computer, today we have access on cellphones, tablets, and so much more. The internet is used to complete almost every task just by a click of a button today.

Although many refer to the internet and web as the same thing, they both are actually two separate tools. The internet is the network, whereas the web is a collection of all the information the internet accesses. When thinking about the internet we think of devices such as computers. On computers one might access Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and like more do not fall under the classification of the internet.

In the world today, there are more than 40,000 different networks. The internet is become a “tool” for every day tasks, thus offering numerous information to just one single person. With the internet being so easy to access, it can be scary at times. The internet has become very accessible to anyone, so one rule of thumb is to always remember not to believe everything you see online is true. A positive however, is how the internet allows a person to keep in touch with others. For example, while facing a pandemic, many friends and family are able to keep in touch because of the internet. The internet is an amazing tool, but with everything, one must always be careful.
